The Physiology of Stress

In this 90-minute workshop, you will learn the science and physiology of how our experience with stress can negatively impact our bodies at the cellular level. We will discuss how stress can effect our cardiac and respiratory systems, genetics, immunity, and much more. Plus, learn some mindfulness and breath work tips that can start to reverse this impact in just five minutes a day.
Jen Materkoski is an RYT 200 specializing in yoga for athletic recovery, strength building and stress reduction. She is certified in Trauma-Informed Yoga, Yoga for Anxiety, and Yoga Nidra. Additionally, she has completed continuing education in stress physiology and mindfulness at Yale University, NYU and Rice University.
